Diamond Cab Foundation was founded in 2016 with the vision to support the underprivileged passengers in need with legal and safe barrier-free transportation. The service is tailor made for the underprivileged elderly with mobility challenges, especially those living in the elderly homes or singleton or doubleton elders living in communities who usually lack resources and social networks with boring lives.
Two flagship program: Diamond Cab Community Ride and Diamond Leisure
Diamond Cab Community Ride
Starting from crowd funding in 2020, Community Ride directly donates to the small and medium elderly homes or NGOs for elderly services, arranges the barrier-free transportation for the underprivileged wheelchair bound elderly to attend the medical appointments. The program has extended to Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and remote areas in the New Territories. We have 40 collaborators, offering nearly 700 charity rides each year on average, filling the huge service gap among the NGOs which cannot provide the same cross-regional barrier-free transportation for free.

Diamond Leisure
Firstly started in 2014, sponsoring the low income wheelchair bound elderly to travel in Hong Kong with Diamond Cab. The elders and staff of the institutions participating in the events highly appreciate these leisure activities, and also attract corporates or foundations to keep supporting Diamond Leisure by mobilizing the staff to be the volunteers accompanying the elders to have fun in the events.
During COVID disaster, all Diamond Leisure events were suspended but starting from late 2022 we restarted Diamond Leisure with regular and diversified leisure activities, prison breaking the daily routine of the elderly and energizing their lives.
Moving Forward
Diamond Cab Foundation hopes to attract more barrier-free drivers to join the industry and support the infrastructure of home care for the aging population. Connecting different stakeholders in the society, Diamond Cab Foundation will provide barrier-free outings with new ideas, challenging the traditional aging care culture.
